We have completed loading the MotorHome, dewinterized it, and done two trial runs. First to Salt Fork State Park and recently to Pymatuning State Park. We have learned:
- We forgot a lot of what we once knew about traveling in an Rv
- Pull into the campsite so that your utilities are on the correct side
- Pay attention to how level the site is prior to pulling in
- Pay attention to the mud on the door side of the site
- Pay attention to if and where the picnic table is located
- Watch out for the low hanging trees
- It will take you longer than you are expecting to set-up and breakdown camp. Hopefully this will get smoother the more we do it.
- We still need to put together our checklists of procedures so we don’t forget something important
We also had a very enjoyable visit from our long time camping friends “The Shelton’s”. Good Time
We also met up with Pam Bloom for Dinner on way home from Pymatuning
We have discovered some things that we need Winnebago and General RV to fix prior to our initial 4 month Journey to Nova Scotia
We are 3 weeks from RETIREMENT and the excitement is starting to settle in
The other realization is I need to get more into this Blog :)
3 weeks YA-HOO!!!
